About the Program

This Summer Training Program is designed for Civil Engineering students who wish to gain hands-on experience with practical laboratory work and modern testing methods used in the field. It aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.

Objectives

  • Provide practical exposure to lab testing procedures.
  • Develop technical skills required in the construction industry.
  • Enhance understanding of material behavior and testing standards

Training Module

1.Building Material & Concrete Technology Lab

  • Workability Tests (Slump Cone, Compaction Factor, V-Bee Consistometer Test,  Flow Table Test)
  • Compressive Strength & Split Tensile Test of ConcreteF
  • Complete Cement Testing ( Normal Consistency of Cement , Initial and Final Setting time of Cement , Soundness and Compressive strength strength of cement, Specific Surface Area and Density of Cement.
  • Complete Coarse Aggregate Testing( Bulk Desity, Water Absorption, Specific Gravity, Impact Test, Hardness Test, Abrassion Test, Grading of Aggregate, Flakiness and Elongation Test , Deleterious Material of Coarse Aggregate)
  • Complete Fine Aggregate Testing
  • Complete Brick Testing cover both clay and Fly Ash Brick ( Dimenssion of Brick , Water Absorption of Brick , Compressive Strength of Brick , Efflorecense of Brick )
  • Mix Design of Concrete.
  • Compressive Strenrth Testing of Paver Block and ACC Block
  • Tesile Strength of Steel and Bend and Rebend testing of Steel.

2. Soil Mechanics Lab

  • Atterberg Limits ( LL , PL , SL )
  • Proctor Compaction Test ( Light and Heavy )
  • Grain Size Analysis of Soil
  • CBR of Soil
  • Plate Load Test of Soil
  • Standard Penetration Test of Soil
  • Field Density of Soil ( Core Cutter Method and Sand Replacement Test )
  • Direct Shear Test
  • Free Swell Index of Soil.

3. Bitumin Testing Lab

  • Pentration Test
  • Ductility Test
  • Flash and Fire Test
  • Marshal Mix Test

Eligibility

2nd to Final Year B.Tech / Diploma Civil Engineering Students

Certification

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Performance Report.
